Structure
Founded in 2001, the Faculty of Civil Defence and Emergency Management (FCDEM) is one of nine academic divisions at Ufa State Aviation Technical University, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide range of Civil Defence, Emergency Management and Environmental Science disciplines.
The division includes three academic departments, centers, and institutes:
- Department of Safety in Manufacturing and Industrial Ecology,
- Department of Fire Protection,
- Department of Sport and Exercise Science
- Interactive Labs for Education and Research in Industrial Ecology and Manufacturing Safety Hazards,
the USATU Research and Education Centre in the Faculty of Civil Defence and Emergency Management (FCDEM)

Our academic programs combine integrated approach to learning and teaching, practical projects, science based programs, competency-based credentialing, and a series of experiential components such as industry-sponsored senior capstone projects, internships, and certification-earning activities.
The Faculty of Civil Defence and Emergency Management (FCDEM) teaching experience is designed to produce practitioner-oriented Civil Defence, Emergency Management and Environmental Sustainability professionals and future leaders who have deep technical knowledge and applied skills in their chosen discipline, and can contribute to problem-solving, critical thinking, communications, and business results through application of Civil Defence, Emergency Management and Environmental Science.
