On April 13, a historic video bridge between the USATU and Donetsk National Technical University took place.
The speakers were the rectors Sergey Novikov and Alexander Anoprienko. Vice-rectors, heads of structural divisions, deans of faculties, directors of institutes, head of the Military Training Center became participants of the videoconference from the USATU.
- The countdown of friendship and cooperation between our universities begins today - Sergey Novikov began his speech. - The two largest technical universities in Bashkiria and Donbass train students in almost similar areas of training: from electrical engineering to IT technologies. Our university is open to cooperation in any field, including the organization of joint network programs for students and dissertation councils for scientists. Today we will define the areas of our joint work. In addition, taking this opportunity, I invite you, Alexander Yakovlevich, and your colleagues to our hospitable Bashkir land.
It should be noted that one of the initiators of providing support to higher education in Donbass was the St. Petersburg Mining University. St Petersburg University Rector Vladimir Litvinenko is the chairperson of the Nedra consortium, which includes our university.
Rector of DonNTU Alexander Anoprienko spoke about the history of the oldest educational institution in Donbass, about the present day and about the prospects for the development of the largest technical university.
- We are pleased to start cooperation with one of the leading technical universities in Russia in the field of aircraft and engine building, - Alexander Yakovlevich emphasized. – We have a lot in common, so we will find growth points for joint work. Moreover, I already invite colleagues from USATU to take part in the International Scientific Forum dedicated to the innovative prospects of Donbass in May 2022.
Also, vice-rectors were appointed from both sides, responsible for coordinating joint activities. This will make it possible to solve the tasks of organizing cooperation more quickly and efficiently.
