It is deeply symbolic that the visit of the delegation of the Russian Academy of Sciences took place immediately after the announcement by Vladimir Putin in Russia of the Decade of Science and Technology.

At the USATU, the delegation members visited scientific laboratories, educational centers, research complexes, student design bureaus.

 - Today USATU is a major scientific and innovative center - Rector Sergey Novikov greeted the guests. – The University develops advanced scientific schools, creates and implements innovative developments in aircraft and engine building, fuel and energy, metallurgical, military-industrial and other industries. USATU historically, thanks to its potential and developments, is actively involved in the processes of import independence and import advance. In addition, one of the main components of our scientific progress is the involvement of talented young people in research work.

More recently, students of SCB "Formula Student" received a modern atrium space and a student laboratory. The students showed their projects to the guests: their own exclusive cars and future developments.

Here, SCB "Unmanned Aviation" presented its UAVs. Students' quad copters aroused great interest among scientists, the range of purposes of which is quite wide: from video monitoring and cargo delivery to agricultural work.

Demonstration of a robot-machine with parallel kinematics developed by USATU scientists for machining complex-profile parts; visiting the Center for Physical-Mechanical, Metallographic and Thermal Research, inspection of the laboratories of additive and foundry technologies, rapid prototyping; study in the educational laboratory of the designs of aircraft engines developed by the Scientific Research Institute "Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems" for aviation - the distinguished guests got acquainted with these and other "leading points".

The delegation also visited the Competence Center for Engineering Calculations, created at USATU for students, where, among other things, the development of products and products based on digital twin technology will be carried out, as well as the modern first auditorium of the Competence Development Center of the world-class Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center.

At the end of the visit, Alexander Sergeev gave a blitz interview to correspondents of the republican television:

- USATU is a unique and sought-after institution of higher education. Today, our task is to ensure the technological independence of our state, which means quickly transferring our knowledge into technologies. UGATU is up to this task. The university has carefully preserved all its long-term developments, which allows it to successfully start today into the future. Indeed, in a whole range of modern technologies that are associated with materials and engines, with electric propulsion and many other areas, the university is advancing at a faster pace. There is a necessary backlog and a historical past. For example, a wonderful laboratory of aircraft engine designs. I also note that many enterprises in the real sector of the economy say that USATU is a serious university with great scientific potential.”

It should be noted that the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences gave an interview on the university square, where at that time the cadets of the USATU Military Training Center were preparing for the Republican parade dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Further, a round table was held at the university on the topic "Prospects for cooperation between the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Republic of Bashkortostan in the field of scientific support for the development of natural resources and the development of high-tech industries: oil, gas and coal chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, agro-industrial sphere, ecology, and in the humanitarian sphere." It was attended by the leaders of the Russian Academy of Sciences, their Bashkir colleagues from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan and representatives of the university community of Bashkortostan.
