The semi-finals of the UMNIK grant competition of the Innovation Promotion Fund were held at the university. The event took place online.

30 innovative projects were submitted for the semi-finals from students of USATU and other universities. 21 participants spoke before the jury, 17 of them made it to the semi-finals. The topics of the projects are the most diverse - from the development of generators and software to the research of oil sorbents and bionic prostheses. 

It should be noted that 11 experts in various technological areas were involved in the competitive selection.

The All-Russian campaign for the collection of waste paper #BumBattle has ended at the university. For three days - from October 17 to October 19 - students, teachers, employees of USATU brought unnecessary and used paper to the reception point. Entire departments, divisions, faculties and institutes participated in the environmental event. The action became truly large-scale and popular.

Waste paper collection took place in 2 stages: for students and for employees. If there was a lot of cargo, then active students came to the rescue under the guidance of teachers from the Department of Physical Education.

Today, all the collected waste paper was loaded onto special vehicles and sent for processing to the Tuymazinsky Cardboard and Paper Mill.

- It's great that USATU contributes to the conservation of nature and the environment, to the improvement of the environment, - Alexey Elizariev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, commented on the event. - All proceeds from the collection of waste paper will be sent to the USATU Humanitarian Aid Collection Center - #MYVMESTE.

In the lobby of the second building, eco-volunteers - members of the USATU Green Project Club - were preparing to sum up the results of the gathering. Participants of the campaign will compete in the quantity and weight of the handed over waste paper and compete for prizes: a shopper with an original inscription, a badge, a notepad, a pen. By the way, all gifts are made from recycled materials, safe and environmentally friendly.
