The changes affected the deadlines for admission to budget places, filing applications simultaneously for a budgetary and commercial basis, as well as confirmation of TRP marks.
According to the new rules, an applicant can simultaneously submit two applications, including on a budgetary and commercial basis.
“The applicant indicates in the application the priority areas of training and the specialty in which he will act. Enrollment will be carried out in those specialties that are indicated in the application, ”the Ministry of Education and Science noted.
At the same time, the number of specialties and areas of training in which an applicant can simultaneously participate in the competition was reduced from ten to five. The ministry believes that this will allow applicants to concentrate on one area of education and strengthen training in subjects that will definitely have to be taken.
“The experience of past admissions campaigns has shown that the maximum number of directions that applicants chose for admission was five on average,” the Ministry of Education and Science added.
Uniform deadlines for admission to state-funded places have been established for all forms of education, including the deadlines for additional admission. Previously, each university independently set the dates of admission to the correspondence department. Because of this, the campaign lasted until the end of September.
Now, for applicants based on the results of the Unified State Examination in all forms of education, the deadline for receiving documents can be set from July 20 to 25. Additional reception should be carried out no later than August 29.
Another change affected the TRP sign. It will be confirmed by applicants on the website of the Ministry of Sports of Russia or on the website of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex of the TRP, or by a copy of the order of the authorized body on the award.
The new rules will come into force on March 1, 2023 and will be valid until September 1, 2027.
