From January 25 to February 25, 2022, all Russian universities where a student scientific association (SSA) has been formed will be able to apply for participation in the SSA competition, within which the Russian Ministry of Education and Science will distribute 100 million rubles in the form of grants. The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov announced this event.
According to the head of the department, it is planned to support more than 30 student teams, each of which, depending on experience and plans in the development of student science, will receive a grant of 1, 3 or 5 million rubles. At the same time, a team applying for the maximum grant must include in its program at least one event with international participation, while within the framework of a grant of 1 million rubles, you can limit yourself to the regional agenda.
“Student scientific associations are associations of young, talented and ambitious guys who are taking their first steps in research. It is important for us to support them, to create conditions for revealing the abilities of each, to show the possibilities for realizing personal potential in the scientific field. The winners of the competition will be determined in April," said Valery Falkov, head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
You can apply until February 25, 2022 until 18:00 through the Portal for the provision of financial state support measures.
When evaluating applications, the organizational and research experience of student teams, achievements in other similar competitions, their development programs and submitted ideas will be taken into account.
The best associations will be able to spend the received grants on organizing and holding events of the student scientific association, academic mobility, advanced training and much more. At the same time, it is important that a certain autonomy in spending funds is preserved, and the participants can spend them on real needs.
The competition is designed to support teams involved in the involvement of students in science and increase their prestige.
According to the monitoring data of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, today there are SSA in 400 universities across the country.
