Every year on December 1st celebrates the World AIDS day. Now its holding is of particular importance because recently the public's attention has been focused on the pandemic caused by the coronavirus. Nevertheless, this does not give a reason to forget about HIV infection, which still takes hundreds of thousands of lives around the world.

This year, on the World AIDS day, an educational campaign was held at USATU, organized by the social commission of the student union together with the social department and the sector of educational work of the Department for Youth Policy.

In the buildings No. 6 and No. 9, activists of the student union bureaus of faculties and institutes held a mini-quiz. How is a fatal disease transmitted, how to protect yourself from the disease, where can you find out your HIV status, can you be cured with drugs for HIV and AIDS, does the immunodeficiency virus cause tuberculosis?

Each student could test or supplement their knowledge in the field of HIV prevention, attach a symbolic red ribbon to their chest and receive free reference materials and contraceptives.
