About the Faculty
The Faculty has a distinguished history of working with aerospace companies around the country. We aims to provide our students with a systematic understanding of the advanced knowledge, critical awareness and new insights required by effective practising aerospace engineers.
At the Faculty, world-class aerospace research drives excellent teaching within a cutting-edge learning environment with state-of-the-art facilities.
The academic courses prepare students for the design, analysis, testing and flight of the full range of aeronautical vehicles, including propeller-driven and jet-powered planes, helicopters and gliders. The courses are suitable for those who would like to gain comprehensive knowledge, understanding and skills that will enable them to contribute to the creation and maintenance of aerospace and aeronautical equipment. The courses cover the necessary aspects for a successful career in the growing aerospace industry.
The Faculty provides some of the best university facilities in the region, in an outstanding location. The Faculty has a wide range of in-house facilities ranging from computer labs housing state-of-the-art PCs through to specialist equipment used almost exclusively by aerospace students.
The Faculty has close links with major national industrial companies. Our curriculum is linked tightly to our research and our academics are leading specialists in aerodynamics, composites, control, vibrations and systems.

About the Faculty
In recent years, the modern aircraft industry has enriched an exponential increase in the application of digital communications, controls and navigation systems. On-board computers now control vital flight functions of large aerial vehicles from takeoff to automatically controlled landings. New on-board sensors observe physical phenomena as diverse as weather, ground vehicles, crop densities and other aerial targets. The field of avionics is multi-disciplinary and challenging field of Aerospace Engineering.
The Faculty programs provide an opportunity for motivated students of pursuing a rigorous course of studies reflecting the challenges of today's high-tech electronics and aviation industry. Our students will be able to select courses from a variety of specializations which are covered in depth and which probe the frontiers of engineering and scientific knowledge. Special-study courses are available to explore emerging technologies and their applications for solving problems. Advanced concepts and applications have an emphasize throughout the program and the thesis research. The aim is to provide the required knowledge and substantial depth so that the alumni can continue to pursue lifelong multidisciplinary learning as professional engineers.
The Faculty degrees give students the advanced knowledge of industry practices that support them a leg up on their future professional career. This program, which can be taken with a track in avionics, aerospace systems or general electrical engineering, is built around hands-on projects like the telemetry system of autonomous aircraft and the power switching for a hybrid car. The Faculty conducts national foremost research into aviation-related electronics. Our avionics researchers are partners with lots Federal, other domestic government agencies, and private industry. We provide the unique ability to offer not just technical data but more customized, cost effective, on-demand practical solutions for navigation and landing systems, surveillance, flight control, and other challenges worldwide. The Faculty activity helps keeping the national Airspace System safe and develops the next generation of air transportation systems.
The Faculty aims to offer relevant avionics engineering program to prepare engineering students for a career with a wide-ranging opportunities in research, development, design, production, sales, and management in the aerospace and other related industries involved with the solution of multi-disciplinary, advanced technology problems through innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and healthy life-long learning attitude.
The Faculty provides students with rigorous knowledge and skills related to Avionics Engineering. The field of Avionics plays a vital role in modernization initiatives related to life cycle support of Aerospace Platforms. Cockpit of manned aircraft and control room of an unmanned aircraft are typical locations for avionic equipment. Our students will study avionics - the electronic systems used on Aerospace Vehicles such as aircraft, satellites, and spacecraft. The systems include navigation, communications, display and management of multiple systems, and hundreds of other systems fitted to Aerospace Vehicle for performance of different functions. Additionally, our students may have implementation of Artificial Intelligence paradigms and development of new software based controls for autonomous systems. The systems may be as simple as a searchlight for a patrolling helicopter to complicated systems like fully functional tactical system for an airborne early warning platform integrated with on ground control center for live relay of information.
The Faculty degree programs provides students with the technical foundation they need to enter the field of avionics engineering technology. Our students will be prepared to apply engineering principles, processes and practices to evaluate, analyze, design and develop avionics systems, and their maintenance.
With the Faculty degree programs focused on the in-demand field of airborne electronic systems, our students will encompass the study of aerodynamics, propulsion, aerospace structures, digital communication, avionics network technology, radar, navigation guidance and flight control systems. The Faculty degree programs impart knowledge of basic engineering technology as well as practical avionics knowhow for readiness of engineers to cope up the challenges in the field faced by national and international organizations. Our avionics engineering students also will undertake the coursework, which is essential to understand how the data is processed by different avionics systems for control and effective operation of an aerospace vehicle. During the course of studies they are also familiarized with flight data recording systems and transmission of real time information from vehicle to the controller.

The Faculty aims to support national aerospace as well as other associated high tech industries through multi-disciplinary research in navigation systems, guidance and control systems, active and passive surveillance systems, digital signal processing, microwave circuit design, communication systems, integration, structures, fluid dynamics and aerospace propulsion systems etc.

A central part of our Informatics and Robotics Faculty's goals is to perform modern research in Informatics and Robotics by focusing our efforts in various specialization areas represented but not limited by: Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence, Programming Languages and Software Engineering, Computer Engineering and Systems. The research topics include computer graphics, computational logic, data mining, geometric modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics, cyber-physical systems, databases, embedded systems, distributed computing, mobile computing, networks, operating systems, and secure systems, compilers, inexact computing, parallel software, programming languages, programming tools, software engineering, and software verification.
The Faculty members are also interested in research themes that cut across these specialization areas, e.g., in high performance computing, formal methods and verification, cybersecurity, bioinformatics, and data science. The Faculty do efforts to rich a compelling strategic opportunity for growing a data science initiative in light of the need for analyzing data. Our multi-disciplinary research activities go beyond engineering. Some achievements in the Faculty can be found in our research on medical imaging, and public policy. Many of these external collaborations are fostered by local institutions and foundations.
USATU’s Informatics and Robotics Faculty offers rigorous graduate and undergraduate degree programs that balance theory and practice. The Faculty undergraduate curriculum includes a core set of courses that teach skills common to all areas in computer science, as well as specialized courses that delve more deeply into specific areas. The Faculty also offers a set of introductory computing courses that teach computational thinking and basic programming skills and are open to anyone. These introductory computing courses provide a solid foundation for future studies in computer science.
The Faculty courses and research opportunities are represented (but not limited) by disciplines, including: Artificial Intelligence, Database Systems, Computer Games, Machine Learning, Robotics, Software Engineering, Man-Machine Interfaces, Communication Networks, Algorithmics, Computer Graphics, and Computer Vision.
The Faculty flexible undergraduate degree permits students to choose programs of study that range from an intense focus on the core aspects of computing science, to explorations of interdisciplinary connections with other fields. About the Faculty
The Faculty of General Science at USATU is a large community of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and staff dedicated to promoting excellence in teaching and research. Our research-intensive Faculty is the place to our undergraduate and graduate students working to learn about and explore the boundaries of scientific knowledge.
Over specialists work to provide educational and research opportunities for students, and conduct a research in fields that span from the physical sciences (chemistry, physics) to the mathematical and computational sciences. Students are taught by leading scientific researchers, in fields ranging from study of characterization of materials to ground-breaking exploration of various areas of mathematics and computer science.
